Reserve Police

Officer Program

The Forsyth Police Department has a cadre of certified and trained reserve police officers to assist with law enforcement activities in the City.

As non-paid volunteers, Reserve Police Officers are an important part of our department.  Their professional and dedicated efforts are invaluable to the department's overall mission.

Reserve police officers have the same training as full-time officers, the only difference is they are volunteers.  Our reserve officers have the same arrest authority as any full-time officer and may be seen enforcing traffic violations, responding to calls for service, working accidents, conducting traffic control duties, assisting with special events, or partnered with another officer in a patrol car.

Our reserve officers are a valuable asset to this department and have earned our respect and appreciation.
